Stephen Massoni, owner of Aurora Video, is an award-winning filmmaker
who graduated from Towson University in 2003 with a degree in
Electronic Media and Film. After completing school and marrying
his long-time girlfriend, he worked as an Assistant Production
Manager at MCTV in Easton, MD where he gained an abundance of
experience in video production. He moved on to become a Master
Control Operator at an ABC affiliate in Johnstown, PA and then
a Broadcast Engineer at WBDC in Washington, DC. Most recently,
he has fulfilled his dream of working for the Discovery Channel
where he has been employed since April of 2006.
A Note from Stephen:
“It is my love for classic movies like Bonnie and Clyde,
The Graduate, and To Kill a Mockingbird as well as modern masterpieces
such as American Beauty, Saving Private Ryan, and Dumb and Dumber
(okay, maybe not Dumb and Dumber) that fuels my passion for directing,
editing, and writing. One thing I have always appreciated in life
is the beauty of human interaction–the perfect simplicities,
the simple imperfections, the raw emotions. Rather than merely
saving life’s moments as fading mental snapshots, I pour
my vision into the camera to preserve these moments. By embracing
my filmmaking background and channeling my immense enthusiasm,
it is my goal with Aurora Video to document the beauty of human
interaction and the events that surround it.
I only use the most technologically advanced equipment, and
I personally shoot and edit every project for Aurora Video. In
addition, I keep a very light schedule, so that I can give the
same level of dedication to every project. There is no doubt in
my mind that every couple, every child, every man and woman has
a beautiful, unique story to tell. I look forward to documenting
yours.”
